Does Gas hurt? - gas does it hurt

Everyone says that when the baby starts, sometimes painful ... In early in pregnancy and the baby pretty sure I have a ball now .... it hurts a little ... is enough for me cringe ... and never felt that float (now currently 20wks) ... So my question is that possiable that the gas can shrink or the baby is really an explosion?
